Beach or Mountain? Why not both?
Did you know that in Cyprus there is a place that combines both? Pomos Village is located on the northwest tip of the Paphos District. With its dramatic cliffs, quiet pebble beaches, and the endless blue of the Mediterranean stretching into the horizon, Pomos offers a kind of solitude that’s hard to find elsewhere on the island. It’s ideal for anyone looking to experience the authentic Cypriot lifestyle in a calm and natural setting, as it is perfect for rest and relaxation.
As one of the few unspoiled areas in the Paphos region, it’s a great place to slow down and enjoy the moment. The beach at Pomos has a unique charm. It’s wide and features a mix of fine and coarse sand, scattered with a few colorful pebbles.

WHAT TIME TO VISIT?
As the sun begins to set, the scattered clouds are gently tinted with golden hues, creating a breathtaking scene. Sunsets in Pomos are both peaceful and wild—beautiful in a way that feels untouched. This remote corner on the northwestern edge of Cyprus is the perfect spot to take it all in.
The natural surroundings are truly one of a kind, and no two sunsets here are ever the same.
Pomos isn’t just one of the best places to watch the sunset in Cyprus—it’s among the most stunning sunset spots in all of Europe.

HOW NOT TO BE A TOURIST
1. Stay Until Sunset—and After
Its northwest location makes Pomos the perfect place to watch the sun dip into the sea. Most visitors snap a few photos and leave—but if you linger a little longer, you’ll catch the post-sunset glow and a starlit sky that’s even more magical.
2. Be Careful of Rocks in the Sea
Some areas have rocky seabeds, so watch your step while entering the water. Water shoes can help avoid slips or stubbed toes.
3. Bring a Snorkel Mask
The clear blue waters are full of life. With a snorkel mask, you can spot fish and other sea creatures swimming alongside you.
4. Explore on Foot
Venture beyond the beach. Discover hidden coves, sea caves, and quiet village trails. Walk along the coast or into the nearby hills to find breathtaking viewpoints.
5. Visit Year-Round
Pomos isn’t just for summer. Visit in spring for blooming wildflowers or in autumn for mild weather and peaceful, empty beaches.
